Will I Need Planning Permission?
No. Planning permission is only required if the structure is below 2.5 meters at its highest point and under 30sq meters.
Do I Need to Provide The Foundations?
All our packages included a solid concrete base, or an alternative method if this is not applicable.
How Long Does The Install Take?
Our garden areas are not modular which allows us to offer more personalised designs. This means they take slightly longer then some of our competitors however we still aim to complete in 4-6 days
Will The Electric Supply Come From The Main Supply?
Our fully qualified electricians will connect from your homes existing supply.
Is My Garden Room Suitable For All Year Round?
Our garden rooms come fully insulated which allows for comfortable use all year round including winter. As an extra we can also fit various types of heating and cooling methods like aircon.
Am I Limited On Styles And Designs?
We are not modular! Every garden room is built bespoke for you. This allows us to craft any design in any style to suit your space and taste. We are not restricted on any materials if you have something in mind however this will come as an additional cost.
Can I Get WiFi In The Garden Room?
We offer a WiFi package upgrade to all of our garden rooms. This price can vary depending on the area and the method that is required.
Can I Have A Garden Room Built With No Garden Access?
At Portobello Garden Rooms our structures are fully bespoke. This means every room is built from the ground up! This allows us to build in areas with almost no access as each component is individual – rather than some company’s who use modular panels which are pre constructed.
Is There An Option For Plumbing Services To Be Installed?
We can offer a wide range of plumbing services allowing the installation of bathrooms and kitchens, which our in house carpenters can also install as part of the package.
